Major Gameplay Update to Torah Timeline

Devlog: Major Gameplay Update to Torah Timeline
What Changed?
Made a significant change to how Tanach cards work, improving their impact and balancing their distribution.
1. Tanach Cards No Longer Cost an Action
Previously, playing a Tanach card required spending one of your two actions per turn. This made some of them, especially token-generating cards like Yaakov Avinu and Shlomo HaMelech, feel underwhelming.
Now, Tanach cards are free to use—you can play them without spending an action. However, to maintain game balance, I’ve adjusted the effects of certain cards:
- Avraham Avinu now grants 1 extra action instead of 2.
- Yosef HaTzadik now draws 2 cards instead of 3.
I'll continue fine-tuning card values through playtesting.
2. Tanach Card Distribution is More Balanced
In the old system, Tanach cards were shuffled into the main deck, sometimes leading to one player drawing far more than the other. This could create frustrating, lopsided games.
To fix this:
- Only 2 random Tanach cards will remain in the main deck.
- The rest are now distributed evenly—each player receives 1 random Tanach card every 6 turns.
- A countdown tracker has been added to the top-left side of the screen, showing when the next Tanach cards will arrive.
Other Updates
- The tutorial has been updated to reflect these changes.
- Screenshots have been added to the game preview!
- Edit: Forgot to add that the game is now optimized! No more long loading! And the Android version is working great too!
Let me know what you think. Enjoy!
